In 2007 Dan was involved in projects spanned across the full spectrum of the
Brisbane jazz community. Dan toured his own group DQ4 to N.S.W. and
Victoria, performed at the Valley Jazz Festival, assisted judging in the
'Clare Hannson Young Recording Award' at the Brisbane Jazz Club, was the
featured artist at the "Ekka", reviewed for the ABC 612, Queensland Music
Festival, teaching at Jazzworx! and QUT, hosted the Triple Z jazz show,
organised 44 performances for emerging and established artists to showcase
their original works at the Jazzworx! Club, performed with Up The River Jazz
Band, Ingrid James, Erik Griswold, Misinterprotato, Lawrence English, DJ
Olive, West End Composers Collective, Andrew Garton's Abbreviations
Orchestra and has continued the development of his own 50's influenced jazz
trio. Already in 2008 Dan has recorded with a new group 'The Organ Grinder',
and is looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
